Our mission
To raise the practical competence of South African industrial teams — measurably, on site, and without pulling an operation apart to do it.
Buhlebazo Skills Development works with mines, smelters, factories and engineering contractors that need capability on the floor — evidenced, assessed and able to survive a shift handover.
We kept meeting operations that had spent real money on training and still had the same failures on the same equipment three months later.
The gap was rarely the learner. It was content written for a syllabus rather than a plant, delivered off site, away from the equipment, at a time that suited the provider rather than the roster.
Buhlebazo was set up to do the opposite: scope first, deliver on site, assess practically, and hand back documentation that a SHEQ manager can put in front of an auditor without apology.

To raise the practical competence of South African industrial teams — measurably, on site, and without pulling an operation apart to do it.
A workforce where skills transfer is deliberate: where the artisan retiring next year has already trained the person who replaces them.
Outcome before content. We start with the breakdown, the audit finding or the shift problem, then build the shortest programme that fixes it.
Facilitators with verifiable operational experience in the sector they teach
Content reviewed against the MHSA, OHSA and applicable SANS requirements
Practical assessment against the task — never a certificate on attendance alone
Documented outcomes handed over within five working days of delivery
A 60-day follow-up to confirm the skill survived the return to shift
A 30-minute conversation is usually enough to tell whether we're the right partner for your operation.
